Cannes film festival is done, and we survived.

It is always such a wonderful experience, meeting new people both professionaly and humanly. This year, we:
  • found nteresting partners for our numerous projects,
  • experienced unexpected meetings, thanks to the quantum physic theory (private joke inside),
  • had a drink at the now famous yet confidential "Apéro IEP", which always takes place, at the same time, the same day of the week!

The Company

IN EXCELSIS was born in January, 2005, with the aim of producing movies conveying meaningful and compelling stories.

Since then, we produced many short films, and a feature lenght documentary. We are now developing new projects, with this crazy objective to make them all come to life.

A Script To Send?

Although we are always delighted to read new stories and discover new talents, we, at the moment, cannot take any new project under our wings -unless you come with the "Goodbye Lenin", "American Beauty", "Collision" or "No Man's Land" script for example. In such a case, please feel free to contact us...

IN EXCELSIS
"The struggle of the individual to win is the essence of drama", Aristotle.
"Make my day"
, Dirty Harry.

We at IN EXCELSIS believe that great movies are based on great stories: dramatic confrontations, struggles for fulfillment, high-stakes challenges... the list goes on. As part of our company’s philosophy, our first step in considering any film for production is to take a close, hard look at its story to see whether it has what it takes to make compelling cinema.

We are interested in any meaningful story that contains the dual promise of insight and entertainment. We feel that movies without stories don’t work because they can’t deliver a message, and that movies without a message are a waste of time and energy. Because of this, we are demanding readers when examining the foundation of any film proposal, the screenplay.

When we do encounter projects combining emotional strength with interesting ideas, stories that make us feel like little kids but think as grown-ups - when we fully believe in a film proposal, there is no company in the world more committed to making its story known than we are.
